J.D. Coaxum is a respected attorney and community advocate with deep roots in Mobile’s Africatown. A descendant of the Clotilda survivors, J.D. carries forward a legacy of resilience and justice through his work in criminal defense and personal injury law.
With a background in law, civil rights advocacy, and community service, J.D. has fought tirelessly for marginalized communities while expanding his practice to multiple areas of law. Inspired by legal trailblazers and strengthened by his experiences at Shaw University and the Birmingham School of Law, J.D. remains a steadfast champion for equality and empowerment.
As part of Rodney Clements Jr.’s campaign team, J.D. focuses on policy development, legal strategy, and community-based advocacy to ensure that Prichard’s growth is grounded in justice and inclusivity.
